In November we bought you an article about The Carbage Run, and in January we featured The Adventurists, the parents of the infamous Mongol rally. Both of these rallies feature beaten up cars, and yield an element of grime, discomfort and mental challenge as drivers plough through testing terrains.
The Rico Rally, on the other hand, celebrates the beauty of cars, picturesque roads and a love of driving. The rally occurs twice a year, spanning through Europe, and is no stranger to seeing Ferraris, Porsches and Mercedes hitting the continent’s finest roads.

The upcoming June rally consists of eight-hours of driving per day, stretching over 2000 miles in 6 days. Starting and finishing in the UK, the route takes ralliers through well-appointed territories such as Maranello (Ferrari Museum), Lake Garda, the Italian & Swiss Alps as well as the Nurburgring, and strives to avoid traffic by taking empty rural roads.
Organizers ensure that Rico Ralliers are booked into quality and secure hand-picked hotels, within a stones-throw of local restaurants and entertainment.

The rally has a terrific social atmosphere, and is no stranger to hosting couples on a romantic trip – people have previously gone on their honeymoon! Over half of the ralliers are repeat customers – with a 100% satisfaction rate.
Although supercars are celebrated at Rico – they only make up 20% of the fleet. They have a wide a variety of people coming for a large variety of reasons, including all female teams and ralliers in their twenties and sixties respectively.
Rico Rally is open to everyone, although there is obviously a high demand for ‘Europe’s greatest rally’. For £1080 you can enter June’s rally here. September this year is already sold out.
